The Hall of Fame (HOF) was created in 1993 to recognize achievement in the Hospitality Industry to honor those that have made significant contributions to our industry.
The Annual Dinner and Induction Ceremony is held each year, and it is generally the third Sunday in October. This annual dinner and induction ceremony serves to publicly recognize each year’s inductees.
The proceeds to the event are for the promotion of Culinary Education. The Event is planned by the Omaha Restaurant Association with the assistance of The Institute for the Culinary Arts. Following the guidelines and policies of the Board of the Omaha Hospitality Hall of Fame.
Welcoming local talent from our community with training and mentorship.
Students participate in a live inspirational event. Opportunities to meet mentors and community hospitality leaders are present for those who have volunteered.

The candidate is or was in charge of operating, or playing a significant role in the success of a commercial establishment, profit or non-profit.
Truth in product promotion and ethical business practices are primary standards with a commitment to the needs of the hospitality industry.
Professionals that have charge, or play a major role in the success of a kitchen, production, or development of food products.
This category will honor those who are being considered a friend to the Industry and who have made significant contributions to the community of Omaha
An inductee of this category shall have specific work experience as an instructor, facilitator, or writer. As director must have directed group feeding as primary position.

Review the criteria on the nomination form, fill out the form and email to jwarren@dineoutoften.com.
Those persons submitted for nomination to the Omaha Hospitality Hall of Fame will be reviewed for consideration by the selection committee and submitted to the Board of Directors for final approval.
After final approval for entrance into the Hall, the nominee will be contacted in the Spring to accept the nomination to the current year's induction.
Each year this event is supported by many in the hospitality community. We would like to recognize those have donated to the Hall of Fame Dinner Event held on October 15th, 2023.
